What color did you choose?

Mine will always be forest green.

There's something about walking through the woods — the soft crunch of moss underfoot, the way light filters through the canopy, the quiet that wraps around you like an old wool blanket. This is where I find my palette. Where the mushrooms grow in clusters of sage and olive, where every shade of green feels like it was mixed by hand.

People ask where my inspiration comes from. It's here. Between the ferns and the fallen branches. In the way nature never rushes but still creates the most beautiful things.

Growing up, some of my favorite memories were long walks through the forest with my grandmother, searching for mushrooms hidden beneath moss, leaves, and old pine trees.

Years later, those quiet moments found their way into clay.

Each mushroom cup is shaped by hand and inspired by real mushroom species we discovered together. Tiny ceramic reminders of woodland adventures, warm kitchens, and slower days.

I didn’t build this to be fast.

And I think that’s something that becomes more and more clear with time.

Because everything around us is pushing for speed.

Faster results.
Faster growth.
Faster everything.

And for a while, I thought I needed to keep up with that.

But the more I worked with my hands,
the more I realised — it just doesn’t work like that.

You can’t rush clay.
You can’t rush process.
You can’t rush something that’s meant to be made slowly.

And honestly… I don’t want to.

I don’t want this to feel rushed.
Or forced.
Or disconnected.

I want it to feel real.

Even if it takes longer.
Even if it grows slower.

Because that’s the kind of life I actually want to live.

“Why is handmade so expensive?”

I hear this question a lot.

And honestly — I understand it.

Because if you compare it to mass production,
it will always feel like too much.

But handmade was never meant to be cheap.

It’s slow.
Unpredictable.
And sometimes frustrating.

There are pieces that don’t survive the kiln.
There are days where nothing works.
There are hours that never turn into a final product.

And that’s part of it.

So when you buy handmade,
you’re not just buying the thing you hold in your hand.

You’re buying everything that came before it.

and sometimes it looks like nothing happened.

A warm cup of tea, handmade ceramics, and a quiet start to the week. Sometimes the smallest rituals become the most beautiful part of the day 🤍

I could try to make everything the same.

Same shape.
Same glaze.
Same finish.

But it would never really work.

Because this isn’t a factory.
And I don’t want it to be one.

Every piece I make shifts a little.
The glaze runs differently.
The texture changes.
The form moves in its own direction.

Sometimes just slightly.
Sometimes more than I expected.

And I’ve learned to stop fighting that.

Because that’s exactly where the character is.

Not in perfection.
Not in control.

But in the fact that something was made by hand,
in a real moment,
and will never exist in the exact same way again.

Not everything I make turns out well.

And I don’t think I’ve ever said that here before.

Some pieces crack.
Some warp.
Some just… don’t feel right, even if technically they’re fine.

And sometimes I spend hours on something
just to realise at the end
that it’s not it.

That it won’t leave this studio.

And I think that’s the part people don’t see.

Because online everything looks finished.
Clean.
Beautiful.

But real work doesn’t look like that.

It’s slow.
Messy.
Unpredictable.

Sometimes frustrating.

But also… honest.

Because when something finally comes out right —
you know exactly what it took to get there.

Not just time.
But patience.
Attention.
Letting go of things that don’t work.

I think that’s why I don’t chase perfection.

Because I know what it costs.
